Louise Young
BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, MHCPC, MPOGP.
Louise graduated from Manchester University in 2001 and has worked within the NHS and private sectors for over 20 years. In 2008 Louise chose to specialise in the niche area of Women’s Health Physiotherapy, completing post graduate training to work in a senior role, within a small and specialist team, providing expert NHS outpatient care for women with pelvic floor dysfunction.
Her caseload has always included urological, gynaecological, gastroenterological and obstetric referrals (such as bladder and bowel continence, pelvic organ prolapse, and obstetric trauma).
Louise now has over 15 years of experience in running clinics treating Women’s Pelvic Health conditions, and has developed a real passion for the treatment of Pelvic Pain Syndromes, (such as Endometriosis, Vaginismus, Vulvodynia and Bladder Pain Syndrome). Louise moved solely into private practice in 2020 and is responsible for our Women’s Health physiotherapy at The Paddock Clinic.
Louise is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy Network. (POGP), and The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), adhering to the CSP’s Code of Members’ Professional Values and Behaviour, including accountability, strict confidentiality, integrity, honesty and openness.
Louise is also trained in Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), and is able to offer specialist post-natal examinations at The Paddock Clinic as a certified Mummy MOT practitioner. As an avid gym user herself, she enjoys helping new mums to safely recover their strength and fitness.
